Relief in night curfew during Janmashtami and Ganeshotsav festivals

Important decisions have been taken in the core committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani for the purpose of celebrating the upcoming festivals of Janmashtami and Ganeshotsav in the state. In order to celebrate Krishna Janmotsav at 12 noon on Janmashtami Monday 30th August, night curfew will be implemented in all the 8 metros from 1 pm onwards for one day on 30th August. A maximum of 200 people are allowed to visit the temple premises at a time. The night curfew for Ganeshotsav will be in effect from September 9 to 19 from 12 noon.

During Ganeshotsav in 8 metros of the state, night curfew will be implemented in these metros from 12 noon to 9 pm on these days i.e. from 9th September to 19th September so that people can visit till 11 pm. For installation and dismantling of Ganesha, installation-dismantling will be allowed by a vehicle with a maximum of 15 persons.The decision was taken at a meeting of the core committee chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani


Curfew will be imposed in 8 metros from September 9 to 19 at night from 8 pm so that people can watch Ganeshotsav. Only rituals of Pooja-Aarti and distribution of Prasad are allowed in public Ganeshotsav places.
